Azeroth is home to dozens of languages[1], including some that are from other worlds. The major languages all have associated writing systems, but that is hardly a given for languages with smaller populations.
There are several language families that clearly go back to a more ancient tongue, but this is not commonly known and may not even be acceptable within educated circles.
